This Chris Craft Runabout 33″ wooden museum quality speed boat model is remote controlled and produced by handcraftedmodelships.com. 33″ long x 9″ Wide x 7 ” High (1:7 scale). The hull is converted to float and not to let water in. Speed boat reaches up to 20-25 mph. Comes with long distance high quality remote control. Battery for the boat is rechargeable. Boat comes with rechargeable battery and charger. Plank on frame construction where each strip of wood is applied to the hull one at a time. Made from heartwood honduras mahogany. One of the highest quality mahoganies available and typically used for real boats. Highly polished smooth finish. Many layers of paint and varnish applied. Each layer is left to dry and micro sanded before another layer is applied. Plush leather seats. Brass and stainless steel fittings (propellers, steering wheel, horns, etc.) – No plastic parts. Dashboard has realistic gauges/switches. Meticulously painted like the actual Chris Craft Runabout. To build this ship, extensive research was done using various sources such as drawings, copies of original plans and photos of the actual ship.

This great piece was amazing and one of the very best of my collection. She was revolutionary in design and stunning in her lights. Unfortunately, she fell apart some over the years, so here is an overveiw of her interiors and decorations. The entire dinning room survives, however, and the entire room was preserved. The hull and all the rest of the ship was scrapped in Feb. 2010. Long live my ship from the old Sovereign Cruise Lines, and long live the memory of the old freind and neighbor after whom the piece was named for. (Florence dubois, 1912-2004) Her picture is mounted inside the dinning hall. Look for it.
